The Southern Character Project
The Southern Character Project began when we first tried to determine what bein Southern meant to us.
We expected easy answers, but we were wrong.After long discussions, lonely research, and some entertaining interviews, we have reached a few conclusions. These results are what help us come to grips with, and feel proud of, our identity.
Our answers may not work for you. And that' Ok. But they work for us and we hope that you will find some value in them as well.
But we should probably be clear: we do have an agenda.We want to help promote and encourage the pillars of what we consider Southern. That means character and passion.
Our mission is to help influence the South to embrace these and embody these characteristics more and more. We firmly believe that as this happens, the South will exceed its former glory.
It's an ambitious goal, no doubt. But life is short and we wanted ours to stand for something.
One thing is certain though... We can't do much on our own.
We Need Your Help
If you're reading this, you probably have some valuable insights that can help us.Most sites offer a cheesy ebook or free report in order to collect email addresses and send offers. We also realize that this reduces your trust in all websites. And rightfully so.
But we aren't selling anything. And we have no plans to start selling anything.
We actually just want your feedback so that we can more effectively fulfill our mission. We feel humbled by what we've set out to do. We aren't arrogant enough to believe that we can have much of a positive impact on our own. We are just blindly stumbling towards our goal.
That's where you come in.
You've seen things, read things, and been places that we haven't. And without you, the story of the South is incomplete.
It takes all of us, and we want your contribution. The mission needs your contribution.
So please tell us what we're doing right and wrong. That's the only way we'll get better. You won't hurt our feelings. Promise.

Being Southern
We really do care about promoting a more virtuous and passionate culture throughout the South. But we obviously can't do it by ourselves.
